FAQ

How do I distinguish between an OKR and a KPI?
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are health metrics that track if a process is running smoothly. OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) are used to drive significant change or improvement. Use this template for growth, and use a separate dashboard for baseline health.
What is considered a 'good' score for an OKR?
In the OKR framework, reaching 70% of a target is often considered a success. If you are consistently hitting 100%, your goals are likely not ambitious enough.
How many Key Results should I have per Objective?
Stick to 3-5 Key Results per Objective. Any more than that dilutes focus and makes it difficult for the team to prioritize the most impactful work.
Can I use this template for personal OKRs?
Absolutely. While these examples are department-focused, the logic of defining a qualitative Objective and quantitative Key Results applies perfectly to individual professional development.
